Installation

On a Windows PC:

  1. Download InqScribe from: https://www.inqscribe.com/download.html.

  2. In your Downloads folder (or wherever your downloaded files are located), double click the installer called InqScribe_xxxx where xxxx is a version number.

  3. You might get a message from Windows: "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?" To continue installation, click Yes. For more information, see Why is Windows warning me about 'harming my computer' and 'putting my PC at risk' when I try to install InqScribe?.

  4. Simply follow the steps in the installer wizard. Review the agreement, select "I accept", and click Next.

  5. Optionally, create a desktop shortcut icon to easily start InqScribe. Click Next.

  6. After installation is complete, you can delete the InqScribe installer file.

On a Mac:

  1. Download InqScribe from: https://www.inqscribe.com/download.html. Click the "Free Download" button. Wait for the download to complete.

  2. In your Downloads folder (or wherever your downloaded files are located), double click the installer called InqScribe_xxxx.dmg, where xxxx is a version number. Mac installers will end with a .dmg

  3. The installer will open a window with a license agreement. Click Agree.

  4. Drag that application to your Mac’s “Applications” folder.

  5. After installation feel free to "eject" and delete the InqScribe installer .dmg file.

After you’ve installed InqScribe on your computer, you may want to register it. Here are instructions on entering a license activation code.
